This project combines the technique of woodcut with Nahuatl symbology, exploring the connection between the nahuales and the Mesoamerican gods. Inspired by the peculiar "dog characters" of Banderas Bay, the artist creates stories that unite the rigidity and texture of the material with the essence of these mythical beings. With a deep-rooted interest in pre-Hispanic culture, the work delves into the concepts of tonalli and nahuales, evolving into an exhibition that celebrates the richness of Mesoamerican culture through symbolic animals.
